Next I’ll be trying out another of my Beer52 offerings from Tempest Brewing Co.
Looking at their range, it’s safe to say that I haven’t tried one of their brews before. Good to see some award winners aswell as some highly rated brews on Ratebeer.
I’ve got me a bottle of Elemental Dark Ale which is described as a robust porter and offers a 5.1% ABV to help move things onto the next level.
Let’s see what Tempest have got to say about Elemental :-
A robust railway porter that’s smoothly irresistible.
Classic roast character balanced with spicey hops.
The beer itself is more of a dark brown colour and on pouring produced a small tan head which very quickly dissipated.
Although subtle, the aroma gives elements of roast malt and mocha.
This smooth porter gives an initial sweetness which builds into a slightly smoked flavour offering a warming and lasting bitterness at the end.
It would be perfect for those cold Winter months and might even help to put some hairs on your chest
