Tuesday has arrived thick and fast. I thought I would try giving #craftbeerhour a go which starts between 9pm and 10pm.
My first beer is one that I’ve already had previously. I loved it so freaking much that I had to give it another go in order to offer you lovely people a review.
I had a peek at their website and can offer you the following tasting notes:-
Supercharged Wylam India Pale Ale…. Rich/bright & amber/bronze with lots of American hop aroma. Distinctly bittersweet on the palate with a massive hop complexity fashioned deep within the IPA tradition.
Yet again, I’m not disappointed with this powerful brew.
On pouring you’re greeted with a good energetic head along with, as they point out, an amber to bronze beer. It offers a rich and syrupy body with plenty of hoppy action. The powerful american hops hit you with floral and fruity flavours whilst the malts give a sweet toffee flavour.
Imagine that age old flavour of toffee apples in a beer – this flavour really develops as the the temperature of the beer rises.
It’s a keeper!
I picked this gem up from the guys at Gravity Station, here in Cardiff.
